Tom - most of the places I have worked were fully integrated. For the most part we all got along and the experience was great. I did notice that it seemed to end at the end of the workday. Not negatively but clearly we went our separate ways and did socialize after work. We currently live in a very mixed neighborhood and we all seem to be good neighbors, we greet each other, etc. But again we do not socialize. Finally I have an observation, channel 7 Detroit has this short bit featuring various groups and organizations. Rarely do you see a mixed group.
Why, I’m not sure, these are just observations.
Odd that we have work friends of all races, we are perfectly comfortable and I thinks it’s genuine. But when it comes to other social events we do not mix. Why?
